The Vieux Carré cocktail was created as a way to celebrate the ethnic diversity in the French Quarter, so I leaned into the New Orleans voodoo connection for the label. The skull is meant to create a feeling of doing something dangerous, and the stylized logos as the eye sockets add a dizziness. The Fleur De Li is embraced by both New Orleans and St. Louis as a symbol of the cities, and the motif is meant to bridge the two. The font and border are meant to be reminiscent of the Art Deco style that was popular at the time of the drink's inception.
